Known for her thoughtful guidance and steady leadership, Abby Wessel combines legal knowledge with a deep commitment to community service. She currently serves as Reinbeck City Attorney and is President of the Grundy County Bar Association.

Erika Allen brings a practical, community-focused approach to her work. As the current Grundy County Attorney and City Attorney for Eldora, she has dedicated her career to serving local families, municipalities, and businesses with clarity and compassion.

  • PARALEGAL

    Sasha grew up in the Gladbrook–Reinbeck area and earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Sociology in May 2021. She joined Rickert, Wessel & Allen as a Legal Assistant in July 2021 and later completed her Paralegal Certificate at DMACC in December 2023.

    In her role at Rickert, Wessel & Allen, she provides support to our attorneys in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, real estate transactions, and the formation of LLCs and corporations. She enjoys getting to know our clients and assisting them throughout the legal process.

    Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, golfing, volunteering at Oak Leak Golf Course and the Grundy County Fair and participating in a local bowling league.

  • OFFICE MANAGER

    Gwen lives in New Hartford with her beloved husband of many years.  Prior to Rickert, Wessel and Allen, Gwen worked at the Gottschalk law firm in Cedar Falls.  Gwen has been with the Rickert firm for over 20 years as the Office Manager, Bookkeeper, and Tax preparer.  Gwen enjoys spending time with her family, going to grandchildren’s activities, and riding her Harley.

  • MICHAEL W. RICKERT

    Michael Rickert served the Reinbeck community for decades, joining the firm in 1969 and providing clients with unwavering dedication until his retirement in 2015.
